Diablo 4 “A Boon in the Tide” Objective Bugged, Fix Coming Soon

Announced at the BlizzCon event 2019, Diablo IV is an action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It is the fourth iteration of the Diablo video game series. It was released on various platforms on June 5th, 2023, like PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S, as well as Microsoft Windows.

Recently, many Diablo 4 players have encountered an annoying bug in the objective, ‘A Boon in the Tide’. The objective is a Chapter 5 objective and is essential for players to progress and earn rewards in the season 1 battle pass.

‘A boon in the tide’ is a chapter 5 objective which requires you to open any Tortured Gift Chest during a Helltide. But, many players have reported that they cannot complete the objective, despite fulfilling its requirements.

Inside the chests, a player can discover a variety of rewards, ranging from items and gold to valuable experience points.

Several players have reported that they cannot complete the objective, even after opening various chests.

Players reported that their progress is not updated even after completing countless Hell tides and opening various boxes.

A player said the bug occurred even after opening multiple chest boxes with their friends during different Hell Tide events.

Another affected player said they could not complete the quest despite completing three Hell Tides and opening various chests.

Some people also theorized that Blizzard intentionally made this bug so players would engage in PvP or make sure the players complete the season campaign. By doing so, the developers can also prevent excessive farming of Varshan.

This issue has been persistently affecting players on various platforms for a week. Fortunately, Blizzard is aware of this bug and has acknowledged it on Twitter. The tweet said the fix is coming before the 15th of this month
